Tracked links are designed to provide marketers with engagement (click) analytics and performance data to determine which pieces of content within specific campaigns are working or not working, so they may optimize content and distribution accordingly. Ideally, unique links are created for:
each channel a piece of content/URL is being shared on (Inbound Links)
each separate link within a piece of content, which points to another related piece of content (Outbound Links) and
specific conversion points within a campaign (Conversion Links).
Tracked Links are effectively used to distinguish which pieces of content in which channels are receiving the most or fewest clicks/engagements.
Simply input the URL you wish to track, choose which Campaign your links are to be associated with and which Channels they are being shared to (for Inbound Links only) and Mintent will generate unique links for each.
Mintent enables users to create three different types of links.
Unique links shared via online or offline channels, which link to a piece of content (e.g. blog post or landing page links shared on Facebook, Twitter and an offline brochure or ad.)
Links from a piece of content (e.g. included or embedded within a blog post, article or email) to another related piece of content (e.g. links within one blog post to another blog post, article or landing page).
Links which, when clicked on or otherwise engaged within a piece of content, represent a goal completion or conversion (e.g. the link behind a Submit button on a form or the link associated with an image loading on a Thank You page following a form submission). Used to measure whether or not a call to action has been successfully taken or completed.
